I re-installed our old test server (its on this webserver like the
website). Old Beta 1 and 2 vets will remember it.

On that server a CVS snapshot is running.

To make it possible for all to
a.) connect to it
b.) use the new editor
c.) have a own server

I have created this package:

The package has a client, an editor, full arches, a server and all
cvs maps. Its also contains a pre-compiled server & client and
the editor .jar.

I will explain later how all works in detail.

ATM: open the file and unzip it. Browse in it.
You will see some folder and 32 .bat file.

Use that files to start client, editor or server.
They are pre-installed and will run out of the box.

some gimmicks:
- dm mode is enabled for everyone login in. just type /dm
- there are 3 shortcut teleporter to the testmaps, the quest
map templates and the "own map starting point". Try them
out.
- read the small start help and try out the NPC interface

Tips for using and map making & scripting comes later.

hi mt im having problems downloading the file its stopping at about 5-10

 mb and i cant extract it

I had problems extracting it at first too. The way I got around that was to open the unzipped main folder and drag its contents into a new folder.

I like the idea of a talk interface to clarify missions etc. The tab function makes it much quicker as well. Maybe the window could pop up to the right of the screen though since it throws you out of the game to have it right in the middle.

I couldn't do too much more in the game since it kept crashing.

The only other thing that might be relevant to know is that the entire screen was shifted to the left (so that the left edge of the screen was cut off... maybe about 50 px).

Unexpected end of archive, that is what i got. My guess is that Demiugre did download enough to run the client but to crash when it tried to access a part you didnt get from your download.

It may work to download it using Firefox (iam trying that now)

Nevermind about the screen problem (I had the same problem with the new b3 client, but I managed to fix it).

I did use firefox anyway.

It might be good to know what the total unextracted file size of the folder should be.

Also, and you probably know this already, but the resistance table was in complete disarray.

Well atleast i got it doenloaded. As you know then when the downloads stops, it starts from when it ended instead of just starting over.

k i downloaded it but having some problems the client freezes and i cant move after a couple of minutes

Cant get gm to work, it doesnt say anything and commands doesnt work.
Even failed making local server but nevermind.

The client is freeazing casnt play more than a couple of minutes and than you

cant move the client crashes

This is a known server bug from the beta 4 - the server lost the socket pointer
to your client when people login/logout. I will hunt that - i am sure i misstyped
that somewhere in the code. Nothing special, just need a bit testing until its
away.

Will give a note when its ready.

Another bug was from the last AI - wrong setting which don't put unaggressive
mob in fights - they still have the high non fight reg rate then.

hi Michel, i downloaded it..........everything okey...........but when i start the client in my windows ME it doesn 't run or start ...........it stops at msdos page ........... any one same prob or knows what to do ??
