It seems every wiki page I open has an edit link. I've never had that option before. Maybe they've started something new and everyone has that option now. In that case, wouldn't I look like the fool.  :mrgreen:

I would like to request access to the wiki.

Immediately I would like to create a clan wiki page for my new clan like the Hobo clan has. I would also like to be able to make minor grammatical corrections to the other wiki pages (I hope that nobody takes offence at this proposal).

If you need someone to flesh out some stories, I would be willing to try that too. You could present some basic ideas and let me take a shot at it.

I would like access to the wiki to write very long and detailed explications of some aspects of the game for the people that will insist first on spamming the shoutbox with questions about basic mechanics of the game that wind up taking a whole lot of time and space inthe shout box... and I'll check for typos...

Yeah, I think that the only people who'd be interested in gory details are the people that have been playing for a bit and already have a sense of the game. N00bs first need something that grabs their attention, and then they need something they can read in thirty seconds. (Well, that's not exactly possible, but you know what I mean.) Wouldn't just a simple FAQ work for now?

A quickly accessible in-game newbie FAQ might be a good idea - which is not quite the same thing as the existing help screens. Then when they shout 'what do I do next', we can just point them to the FAQ.

Yeah, well Uni compiled two FAQs (one technical, one non-) which are stickies in Newbie Questions.

Smacky's Guides is unlikely to get a FAQ list as such (in fact the introduction specifies the guides are not FAQs) but it's not exactly 'the gory details.' In fact I have not included number and calculations and things partly for this reason; to me, those things are newbie-scarers.

An ingame FAQ is very possible with the BookGUI, although not searchable. Hm, someone should start an Encyclopaedia Daimonica.

Being a complete 'n00b' here, I am completely unqualified to write any original material about Daimonin.  With an Eng Lit degree and a few years of experience as a writer/editor under my belt, though, I can gleefully edit other people's material until it screams for mercy.

I have been given access to the wiki a while ago by MT and I've been doing some fixes and changes.  I thought people might want to know that, for the sake of information.
