In-game-name, i'm asking so i can put you on my website as 'helpers' Smiley.

Ah, yes, Smacky. But as Krosan says I'm not playing ATM. Also I probably don't give the same kind of help as some others. IOW, unless I am very bored or the newb amuses me in some way or I particularly like you (yes, favouritism -- deal with it) and I'm in a good mood, I'm not going to directly help by power-levelling or giving items or such, and I don't give spoilers. However I will explain game mechanics ad nauseam.

Also the people who voted the '1'... you don't have to be harsh considering it was only 1-2 days old when you voted.

Well if you didn't want people to vote '1' perhaps you shouldn't have given them the option? DEMOCRACY isn't sympathetic.

I'm sorry JD that you mis-understood me, What i was trying to say was a basic list of new player problems, my personal exp as a noob and some commonest questions I get. I asked in the last post was just "Keep It Simple"  or kiss.

Most of the players who would need to use your site (not all, but a good % of) know little english and would be using a dictionary to understand your first 10 words.

To help non english speakers, starting with header like statement "Fanrir Quest, gives Shoes, Healing food and your first weapon" would be very helpfull, and far more time friendly on english to "what ever language" dictonary, then the fuller explains like you have now.

Can I request an order change in the "Basic knowledge" section you have listed?     Any  *then    is a re-order or a change of topic request, to make it simpler by order of use in-game.

1) Movement,  2) Basic Combat,  3) Communication,  4) NPC's Talk,  5) NPC Shops,  6) *Then THE-Three-Water-Rules,  7) *Then Combat Healing,  8.) * minor tweeks to include throw weapons,  9)  Equipment,   10) Armor/Weapons

I like your full expalins on stuff.
Suggestons for changes inside of a catoglory.

You Movement on Labtop explain: Could you please also tell a player What a macro is, and then offer a Movement macro example or 2 for compairson? (I'm a semi-experienced player and i can not off the top of my head make any movement macro's, this could imply a problem with new players too)

6) The Three Water rules:  A.) Do not get hit,   B.) Do Not Move while Eating  C.) Do not Attack. (have combat mode on)

6, 1/2)  Loading the Quick BAR function keys F1-F8. Click-Drag Item over top of top right box's OR: Right Shift, use Arrow-keys over the Item, press F1 thru F8 to Set it onto your Quick laod bar.

7) *Combat Healing  (Press C, waiting to be hit, then drinking 1 or 2 waters)

Please consider changing the Archery/ragned explain to meantion and praise early Throw Daggers use?.  I ask this only because no player ever get any combat spells befor they have or need use of throw daggers.

Cool 8.) Throw Weapons, please include both styles, some people do use mice too:  CTRL + Mouse Click And CTRL + NumberPad direction key will fire ranged.

8.5)  Spell loading,  please include a direct statement like this one:  Press the F9 key, goto Chaos spells, goto Magic Bullet (MB), double click on magic bullet while your TAB key is on Spells.

9) On your "Equipment" please list the answer to "how to fill my lamp": Mark "M" key, over lamp then apply/equip the oil to re-fill it.

Keep in mind: When you are explaining game play to new players, They might not instantly understand ideas like "camping" or "training spots" or the use of the term "mob" meaning only one attacking monster.

Here is a full RunDown of the Fast and Effective needs for any new players.   You first need to Press A into the Sewers, new player Must fight to lvl2 on ants, Must find enough (see I spelled enuf right this time) Copper to buy "harded leather armor" and a "pine buckler" (the rest can be optional). Then they must know where to buy Water from and load it on their quick bar.  Failure to buy WATER (booze costs will break a noob) or to Run (or combat heal) far enought to be safe when useing it, Will result in a very fast and repeated deaths. Then at lvl3 kill mach and go kill cats till magic lvl 3 or 4. Then a Walk to Stone Haven explain (lol, even experinced B3 players can get stuck on this confusing scarey open-map-ness)

Most new players will not Live long to kill hobgoblin Mach And friends with out the extra fire-power provided by Throwing (weapons).
On a personal note: I've had some great laughts at their failures to kill rat king, or even find him. plz Suggest at least a 1 time buy of 100 throw daggers first off, it's a rather conservitiave estimate/guess. Water is GREAT for speed healing, and  REST-ing Will get you overwhelmed by spawned monsters back building force.

To back up this post, I started 2 new accounts on test server to bone up on my noob exp, and to test the applyed value of my armor kits, i am very proud of them now. Also i recived a website crash while backspaceing thru your website for this post, i'm shure the error is on my end, ty.

Jeffdunham  --

To explain my earlier suggestion further:

Under your Training Areas page, you currently list the dungeons in one long list.  What I'm suggesting is listing the name of the dungeon as a hyperlink to a separate page containing the information for the dungeon and organize them on the Training Areas page by Plane.

Essentially, human plane is anything on the Stonehaven related maps and the demon plane is anything on the Stoneglow related maps.

Example:

Code:

Training Areas

Human Plane:

<a href="./fanrir.html">Fanrir's Larder</a>
<a href="./guildabandoned.html">Guild Hall-Abandoned Cellar</a>

Demon Plane:

<a href="./undergroundcity1.html">Underground City Level 1</a>
<a href="./undergroundcity2.html">Underground City Level 2</a>
<a href="./mausoleum.html">Mausoleum</a>

So, once you've enumerated each of the dungeons, the guildabandoned.html page would contain the information for that dungeon:

Level Range of Mobs:  1-2 (Aggressive and Unaggressive).
# of Different Mob Types: 8 including 1 Quest Mob
Approximate location: Hole inside Stonehaven guild hall
------
1.Minor Ant Scout- Lvl 1
2.Small Gelatinous Cube
3.Ant Scout Leader- Cashin's Leather Cap_Mercenary Guild Membership
4.Ant Scout- Lvl 1
5.Ant Worker- Lvl 1
6.Ant Soldier- Lvl 1
7.Ant Forager- Lvl 1
8.Giant Black Widow- Lvl 2
