the client is now updated again and a new metaserver is online.
All should be now work as usual and the test server will be added soon.

On the Download page (http://www.daimonin.com/Download.html) you will find shortly an update package for the 0.9.7.1 sources.

Please read the following important notes:

Users with already installed daimonin from the 0.9.7.1 sources
You don't need to download the big mainpackage again, just get the update package, and overwrite your old (source-)files with these new files from the update-package.
Then you need to rebuild the client.
You may need to do a ./configure again.
Be sure to do a make clean before the make.
Do NOT do a make install, just copy the daimonin-binary to your install dir.
(After the build the daimonin-binary is found in the make/linux folder. You install dir is normally ~/daimonin-0.9.7)

Users which do a first-time installation
Download the big base-package, and overwrite the files with the files from the update-package.
Do a normal build with a normal make install.

Users which have an old 0.9.7 client out there
The client installs normally in ~/daimonin-0.9.7
Do NOT confuse this with the version number, instead run the client, and in the bottom-left corner you'll find your version.
If its the old 0.9.7 version (aka the non-widget client), consider updating.
Remove the install dir, remove all old source stuff, and go to the hidden folder ~/.daimonin.
Please create a folder named settings, and move your keys.dat in there. After that delete all files from the ~/.daimonin folder. When i say files, i mean only files, all the directorys, like cache and so on should stay.
After that follow the instructions from the firt-time users.

the configure file in the update-package is bad, you need delete the configure file in the update-package, before u replace the base-package

i did the install the -pl105 version.


how to fix the update-package?
1- delete the configure file in the <client/make/linux> folder of the update-package

2- copy the configure file in the <client/make/linux> folder of the base-package

3- paste the configure file in the <client/make/linux> folder of the update-package

how to install?

1. Download daimonin

2. Extract and put the client folder in your home folder

3. Copy and paste the following in a terminal and press enter:

sudo apt-get install libsdl1.2debian libsdl1.2-dev libsdl-mixer1.2 libsdl-mixer1.2-dev libsdl-image1.2 libsdl-image1.2-dev libphysfs-dev libcurl3-gnutls-dev

5. Copy and paste the following in a terminal and press enter:

cd ~/client/make/linux

6. In the terminal type:

./configure

7. Then

make clen

8. Then

make

9. And finally (without sudo):

make install

You should now have a fully working daimonin client

if you need the daimonin icon it be in the folder <client/make/win32> ; "daimonin.ico"
copy it and put it in your <daimonin-0.9.7> folder.

Just browse to your home folder then open the daimonin-0.9.7 folder then double click/execute the daimonin executable.

You can add a menu entry accordingly.
