Zrub..good to see your pic..with regards to eye colour, ..from memory.. when i did genetics at school, the gene for eyecolour comes from your grandparents. So.. if both your parents had brown eyes, and .. your wife/partners's parents had say.. blue and green eyes...then.. there is a 50% chance your kids will have brown eyes, 25% chance of blue, and 25% chance of green.
It has nothing to do with your eye colour or your partners eye colour.. but ,, watch out for your grandkids though, they may have your eyes

Really? Interesting. When I was studying genetics, we applied a simple probability diagram such as the "punnet square" or "gene tree" to calculate the possible outcomes. So if either of both your parents or your wife's parents are homozygous brown eyes then we will have to assume that mathematically there is a 100% chance for your kids to also have brown eyes. (Assuming that brown eyes is the dominant gene).

Edit: (back on topic) well angry you are not quite the person I expected - you look happy in that photo . BTW is that Miami beach? Hmm, maybe Honolulu?
