Likewise, i am also still up for making more music if needed, just list the type and mood.  Although i can't promise anything in a timely manner.

i found a VERY useful program that will convert your music to any format (well probably not EVERY but most of them)

its called the Replay Converter and yes it includes OGG Smiley

(EDIT: this post is for anyone else who cant find the right program to make music, there was also a thread with free music making tools such as the finale notepad, and such its worth browsing the forums for)

I'll sticky this. While I'm here I want to publically congratulate ThePlaneskeeper on the music so far included in the game: GH, Sh (three bits) and Sh village are all his. They are excellent and add to the atmosphere of the game.

Some replacement apt music would be nice. How about a single apt theme but grander and more embellished for the fancier apts? So 5 pieces overall -- cheap, normal, expensive, luxurious, donation.

I will work on apartment music at the next available timeframe i get (perhaps this weekend)

Keep in mind that it took me about 4 months or so to whip out the 60 meg of music before, so don't expect anything for about a month.  =)

Well, i got standard apartment themes done (4 of them), but i still need to make one for the donation apartment.  I was thinking i was going to make that one a bit different than the rest.  I may yet be changing them again, but i have sent them along to Unislash to commit (along with my second package of sound effects).  So bug him for them! or if you want them i'll send them to you, just PM me.

@Planes: That's some nice apartment music. So much less annoying than the current stuff.

I think it could do with a bit of editing though. The main guitar melody is really nice. It's non-invasive, just rolls along in the background, like apt music should be IMO. The leadins and leadouts are unnecessary I think. They serve to bookend the tune so make it more obvious where it begins and ends, meaning it doesn't work so well on a loop. Also, the bells, when effectively on their own, sound a bit too Xmassy, and the ... hissy... sound is a bit odd. These bits stand out too much.

So I think you should cut the leadins and leadouts and just keep  the middle bits. Specifically:

ColeCheapApartment.ogg keep 0:02-0:45 (approx)
ColeNormalApartment.ogg keep 0::02-0:55 (approx)
ColeExpensiveApartment.ogg keep 0:06-1:00 (approx)
ColeLuxuriousApartment.ogg keep 0:06-1:00 (approx)

And then reloop them. This also make smaller files, which is always good.

I have not had time to edit the apartment music as of yet, but i am thinking of having two new themes for the two more expensive ones and a special theme for the donation apartment, (or maybe if i can come up with a script to do it, i was thinking a jukebox would be nice in the donation apartment...)

Either way, i did have time to send along 4 more tracks to Unislash, so be on the lookout, one of them being a strange track that is probably unusable, and a nother being kinda a techno track in a way... possibly could be used in a dungeon on a flying Wizard's city or something to that effect.... hmmmm...

Feel free to delete which ones are unusable.

Will have more sounds coming too, just been busy closing on a house, and then i will be busy making improvements and moving.  Hopefully it won't eat all of my time =)

StFear: Anich and i could use any help if you were still interested in this line of work.  My girlfriend is building a website (as we speak) to host files, and such, and we are building a list of what is done and what needs to be done!

As Keepers said, its only him and I working on this. I'm currently re-writing my music I have so far (about 10) to make sure they fit in with its suitable place, and suitable mood. Ive also started to make a "combat" sfx package, keepers is working on it too. Feel free to join in, the more people are in this the more easier it will be for all of us (or should I say 2 of us...). Keepers has started a list of what needs to be done with the music themes. And I have made a list of what needs to be done for the combat sfx. Those are the details, the rest are speculations.

Edit: Don't forget to check out our media database at http://screamingflower.dontexist.org/

Cheers,
Anich
