Ok ... here we go ... my first try of a huge, "walk-behind-able" waterfall.

This is a 3x3 tiles wide 3-step animated arch ...


Placed in a surrounding it could look like this :


I'm working on the .arc-file, so it can be implemented soon.

Sorry, but my test-server is for my personal use only! It's not for public use!  :wink:
Atm some of my maps are available on the official testserver.
If you want to take a look on how I'm doing my maps, just go there.  Cool

Hi @ all

I made my first mob !!  Cool

I call him "Dark monk".
(animated gif)

So, you may ask : Whats so spezial about it ?

I created him with Blender first and scaled him down with The GIMP to fit him into an arch.

Here some screenies about the creation process :  Tongue


(creating the mesh in Blender 2.42a)

(rendering with the Blender internal renderer)

After rendering the "dark Monk" in 8 rotated views, I edited the pictures using GIMP. (resizing, colour-indexing, aligning)
Then I wrote the .arc-file and updated my private Editor and Server to take a look at him ingame.

If you want to take a look as well, here is the zip-file with the arches and the arc-file.

What to do next ?
Ok, there is an attack-animation missing, but using blender again this will be a small problem. Maybe next time  :wink:

Hey! He really looks like Seether! Maybe a cousin of him Cheesy Really nice job there, i like him modelled like this!

In fact this was exactly the technique i was about to try for him as a first step to mob/arch creation and i'm really glad to see the results that can be achieved Wink It seems i'm on the right path then, thanx for the awesome example!
