Oo! That looks good! I shall have to build the SVN soon.

Just built the latest SVN. Very nice! The camera rotation is cool. No more lazy mapmakers not putting detail behind walls. :twisted:

And the distance fade-to-black make it feel more real somehow.

A few problems:
[list=1]
  • pause doesn't lock the camera at all. prtsc does for about a second, but then it snaps back to its original position.
  • I can't seem to attack Michtoen any more. Sad And after selecting the box near to him I can't even select him again.
  • When walking straight 'out of' the screen (so southeast) the bottom tenth of the screen seems to have problems updating. It sort of jumps into position every half second. Everything else and every other direction is very smooth.[/list:o]

1)  you must release the pgup/pgdown key before you press pause. prtsc does it for a sec because a snapshot freezes the whole client.
2+3) The server didn't send me information the way i need them. for example: when you walk over a non walk tile you cant solve the first quest anymore. with some workarounds this could be fixed. but i don't have time for temporary code. you must wait for a server update...

Just ran the 3d demo 007 on my server.. That water really does look nice when it's in motion. I beat the tentacle up too while I was at it hehe

Poly, I'm telling you pause does nothing! Just tried again. Also tried cPause, sPause and aPause just in case.

Hm, tried again again. What it does do is this: say you pgup so the camera rotates as far as it can, release pgup so the camera starts returning to neutral, press pause at point X. The camera will not lock at point X, but will just continue back to neutral. However, next time you press pgup to rotate the camera it will do a split second 'jump' at point X, but otherwise rotate normally (and still be unlockable).

you are right, pause don't works on gnu/linux - and there are other keys that don't work Sad
as a workaround for this ogre3d bug, i will use the home key for camera freeze.
