Congratulations to our new admins!

(I know this thread has been locked (by me in fact), where this post is also off topic (Note: do not follow my example Wink)

Edit: While I'm still off topic:

Should I just do nothing in future and let the forum collapse because someone has decided to dedicate themselves to spamming?
Yes, you really should be doing nothing (at least most of the time), the forum will not collapse, not on my watch. You are an admin, taking care of the coding stuff, while the mods take out the trash. That's how it should be.

Cheers,
Anich

Thank you Nite*Star.

I had no place in this conversation, as this topic does not concern any game related subject and I would rather stay out of it.

So what am I doing here you ask?

Let me know, zrub/anich/smacky/TPK/Longir/whoever else shares these views of me.
The truth is, I don't care about what you think. Your actions define you, not your personality. I can't judge people, but I can judge what they do. And by what you just did here, is unworthy. I would rather speak for myself than have someone else drag me into something that I am not a part of.

It is easier said than done. A server side language filter should be implemented, but not anytime soon.

"Specifically" in that sense is not describing an example. I assume that you've read the detailed explanation, so I'm only going to say that the context in paragraph two is being very specific, rather an expansion on the "ideally should not be discussed in-game at all" part.

Also, if the admins of the game are that worried about "foul" language in /shout, then they can employ a game-wide filter.

In any event, my point is that punishment for any offense should be meted out after review by a GM/DM, with the exception of a player who completely disrupts the game (e.g., spamming in /shout).
How?

Your private email address is hidden, as is everyone else's. Only you and web masters can view your email address.

There's that server bug that reverses the order of which the items are stacked. I'm not sure if the fix (if so) is implemented yet, but as a precaution, you should put the treasure on top of  the burnt out torch, and then place another burnt out torch on top. So that if you make a treasure hunt, you won't confuse the hunters in making them believe that the burnt out torch underneath is the real treasure.

Yes, rules can be included in the game guide (IIRC they used to be in the wiki in the old site, but now they need to be wikied again). I don't think they should be moved though, they are quite visible where they are you know. Also there are going to be/might be some changes to these rules prior to the changes in the mod privs/codes/etc (2 weeks,) so this probably won't happen any time soon.

As to your last statement, the long version of da rules do state that the actions described are examples. (You should read them someday.)

Anich

Not that the size has significant impact on quality, but you should see the size of the farms in Plane's siggy.

This thread is almost a year old. These items are probably not available any more. (To come to think of it, I should've bought that exp ammy when I had the chance.)

IIRC rings of greater thieves have both infra and x-ray.
14  Community / Newbies / Re: how come... on: November 12, 2008, 03:59:23 am
Personally I think that you should be able to see invisible objects with x-ray. However there is already a vision for that, and that's /see_invisible, which is for DM's only (and those with Vol pants).

Also you shouldn't see shadows or colours with x-ray vision, as x-rays are not visible light.

My sig may be big (its only small because I set the image to that size) but its actually semi-trans, so its quite compact. IIRC about 20kb.

Although big sigs don't bother me, I just block them with adblock.

Cool dragon BTW.
