Anyway - as soon as I get back home from visiting the relatives I'll try to finish him off! (30th Jan-ish).
Maurice Sandak used his aunts and uncles as inspiration for the monsters in "Where the Wild things are", so maybe you visit will help:)

I don't know if this is the place to put this, but i always thought that having some way for mobs to tailor attacks to slightly negate a given player's resists might be interesting- i.e. if a player has 45% cold resists and only 20% heat maybe the mobs would attack using heat more often...(of course I'm talking about a mob that has both kinds of attacks as options.) Not to much to make it impossible but just making it a bit harder...

Given the size of the current community I do not think adding new vols is needed to solve problems like this. I recommend that experienced players try to deal with situations like this with the tools they have: A. /Ignoring the trouble maker- if the person in questions finds out that no one is hearing what he/she is saying I doubt they will get much satisfaction (in general the less attention this stuff gets the quicker it disappears) -if all people on make a statment "we do not want to hear waht you have to say" isn't that much more powerful than a mute by one vol? B. Taking a screnie so that some one can investigate what i.p. the char name belongs to if steps need to be taken on a more perminant basis. There will alwys be people who seek to bring the level of shout down, its up to us as a goup not to let them become more then a minor blip.

maybe this is adding difficulty to complexness, but could a clever map maker take advantage fo the diffrence between /talk and /say, and if some one tire to use say to talk to a mob behind closed wall window something bad would happen- such as some high level mobs hear him and come to investigate.

You forgot Ramadan ... that's around the same time frame during which what we in the former colonies call the Holiday Season, n'est pas? EDIT: (this is for Ellwood) Since the Islamic calendar is strictly Lunar, Ramadan can fall in any season (as the seasons are governed by the Sun)-from the perspective of Christian/Jewish calendars then, Ramadan moves around...

See, now that's just wrong, Lord Dr. Zrub. You've mis-quoted the thread and don't make it obvious that you've taken comments from people out of order.
What do you think creative quotation means?

Latest experiments conducted at 9:10-9:15 pst with Evilasa: 1. I summon Evilasa to Instance A, he leaves and comes back via stairs-ends up in different Instance A then me. 2. A. Evilasa goes into instance A drops stars, comes back stars still there. B. I summon Evilasa into a new Instance A via lever, he leaves, comes back ends up back in Instance A where he dropped stars (and not with me). (I'm not going to be able to conduct further experiments until probably after New Years, since I'm going to be traveling with my family and won't be able to log into test server.)

So you start A, summon Boruta in, you leave and log out, then log back in and go down the stairs to A but now you are in a different A and Boruta is in (your) original A?
yes. Try that, but instead of going back to A, this time you stand on the chequered square and Boruta pulls the lever (as the rest works, I imagine this will work too).
Tried that at around 8:06 am pst, with KSwind, and to quote him: "no crashy, crashy"...(I keep luring people to conduct these experiments with me by promising them there is a good chance we'll crash the server-I'm not sure I can sell that any more )

ok so tested again with Boruta, around 6:30am pst: Summoned him, then left to Instance B- no crash. Then logged out- no crash. Then went into Instance A, he was in the summoned instance A, I was in a different instance of Instance A- no Crash. (So I guess I get an A for effort again, but F in terms of getting the server too Crash )
