Are you sick of making new threads? bumping older threads? Do you wish to have your own thread stickied? Well look no further!

In this thread, you will be able to request your own stickied thread! Please state the reason why you will be needing a stickied thread and your wish might just come true!

NOTE: not anyone and everyone will be able to get there own thread stickied, I will first look into the person specified, then i will see how active they are making there graphics/sound, and finally that will be taken into consideration before your thread is stickied.

~missy

should've been made annoucnement so it doesn't end up lost in the stickies later - made announcement - Longir

Well there seems to be a whole lot of stickied threads around here. While you are at it would you mind stickying all the rest of the threads in the forum please. Then we can get back to some continuum with being able to find things.

Thanks

LOL Yeah it's pretty confusing and not helped by the fact that artists with stickies insist on starting a new thread for everything anyway!

But it's meant as a stopgap until we have a useable gallery feature on the new site. Of course the problem then will be that artists will still insist on posting their latest effort in a brand new thread rather than in their gallery because it is slightly easier and more immediate.

So just give the forum mods permission to delete these on sight

well most of the changes i see, wasnt even done by me, so this is news to me as well

This weekend when i have some free time, I will attempt to straighten this forum out a bit as it looks chaotic right now

~missy

EDIT: I had a few minutes left, so i went ahead and changed the name of most of the stickys, to make it easier to browse through them. This weekend i plan to replace every sticky with a (thinking about locked) Portfolio of sorts with the artists artwork in one convenient post, no replys, where as regular posts would mostly be for commenting on those certain updated portfolios. I believe that would seem a bit easier to find, and look at the new artwork that is being come up with. At least until the new site brings us all these new features, this would seem as a nice solution to this problem i hope

BTW: If you believe the stickys name should be changed, be my guest, that was my temporary fix until I get my time this weekend to straighten out this forum further

Subaru: i locked a topic because there was nothing new that could be added to it, and it was getting kinda silly with people continuing to post unnecessary attacks at the original poster

I believe that was the best route to take on a thread such as that one, there was alot of discouragement in that topic, and it did turn to senseless flamming

thankyou for looking out ^^

Great job mods for cleaning up the forum, sorting out stickies and giving them proper names. This is one of the cleanest forums I've seen now.

Cheers,

Yes, we can all thank Subaru for cleaning up these forums, it was well needed, and time well spend.  They are much cleaner and easier to read now.

Thankyou again Subaru!

what thread would you like to be stickied? could you please direct me to it? (also this thread is intended for artists that use the graphics and sound forum, so if the thread in question is (for instance) in the marketplace, then i will not be able to sticky the thread for you of course

Fat, I think you misread Sub's post. Wink marketplace was an example of thread's that won't be stickied. This is only for artist's threads in this forum, G&S (it's a way of making 'galleries' while we wait for the new site.

@ Fatal, if you want a marketplace thread stickied, send a PM to me or Falciron (the forum mods for MSM) and we'll consider it. However, as we can't have just anyone coming along and getting a sticky (and hence putting us back to square one, with threads going all over the page) you have to be a big shop, and you have to stick to that thread and that thread only for selling stuff.
Off topic for this forum, I know, and I apologise for all those artists whose eyes have been damaged by all this merchanting, but here seemed as good a place as any to answer fatals point in public.
