Actually 3D graphics are way easier do create (just run blender and try to draw the same animation in painting program).

I only ageree that keeping 2D client is a quit e important but i have nothing against 3D one.

10 ppl on average is quite cool for development. Less whining, less cries and you can concentrate on develpment.

Fujikato: I think you underestimate how thins work.  The game has a very small base right now because we chose to allow it to become small until we are ready for the next levels of development.

When we are ready to advertise, we will have a huge base, but at the moment we have stagnated in our advertisement on purpose: we have more important things to focus on at the moment, we have features that will make it easier and simpler to have a forum account and game account (with only one registration)

Everything has its own time, and when the engine is closer to complete, then we will get more people.

Furthermore, the 3D development allows backports to the 2D client (for graphics) so its a win-win situation.

I think that what separates RPG's from other RPG's isn't so much the gameplay or the fancy graphics, but more so the ideas or themes explored in the game and how these ideas are explored. This is the very essence within the game world.

Daimonin is very young, but I've been and still am working on a good story line with lots of ideas to explore. It doesn't matter if it stays 2d or goes 3d. Just as long as there is a good enough game to play, but more importantly, great stories to follow.

You want my simpler advice? Tell Anich to get his butt moving and finish that background story!

Cheers,

We have 10 people avarage atm because i stopped the advertisment for the
current betas.

I don't want promote Daimonin as a non smooth moving game, thats the point.

We was 2 years ago by a peek of 100 people playing at once.
These people are still part of our community and will come back or
visit us when we release new features.

Beside some technical stuff the work on ithe animation improvement
is the main part. Smooth moving and "real game like" animations are the
part we work since 4 years on.

And the split to 3d is just a part of it. The client is somewhat ready,
we just work on the server parts (or better me, because thats my
part).

Its IS a 10 year plan and we are in the plan.
Its a much more bigger picture as you see, trust me. Smiley
