does this mean i better stop
Nope you can still do mapping, even with the outdated mapmaker package.
You need to upgrade Gridarta (run it with the editor.bat, and select update somewhere in the menu)
Ignore the errormessage. Close Gridarta, and restart wit with the .bat (unless there is anything changed there, the .bat will install the new version).
You can even use the old outdated client in the mapmaker package to test out you maps with the local server.
You are missing of course new features, new arches and so on.
To fully update you mapmaker package
* update Gridarta
* update the arches (checkout HEAD /trunk/archs) and do a recollection in Gridarta.
* checkout HEAD trunk/server and rebuild it, replacing the old one in the mapmaker package.
* checkout HEAD trunk/client and rebuild it, replace he old client in the mapmaker package (be sure to change the start_client.bat it points to client.exe, the new name is daimonin.exe)
Just as a note: with a HEAD client you are unable to connect to the main-server, its only for connecting to you local HEAD server
