A true short story for entertainment:
And it came to pass one day as Zrubavel was fighting fire Giants in Captured Stronghold, he heard a voice calling to him: “Zrubavel, move closer to the entrance of the dungeon”-Zrubavel heard and obeyed for it was the great god Longir. At a certain spot, Longir whispered to him: “I am about to show you a fantastic item, the strongest Armour ever to be found in the whole land. Study it well, for I need you to convince your fellow mortals that you have found it- tell them only that it came from a fire Giant, and that if you revealed more about it to anyone then you will incur my wrath” (This may not be exactly what Longir said- Zrubavel, who had never spoken to a god, and expected at least a burning bush or something, was a bit taken a back by the whole experience). Thinking “at least he is not asking me to sacrifice my son”, Zrubavel obeyed, and examined the Armour- it was red, and called Killrins Armour of the Warrior. After Zrubavel, who expected to be asked many questions about the item, copied all its information, Longir took the Armour and left a weapon in it’s place. Thinking this was another part of the test Zrubavel examined the weapon, but did not pick it up, then Longir spoke to him again “This is your reward for serving me, also, tomorrow I will tell you the real place where the Armour drops.” Zrubavel then shouted “Woot, found Killrin’s Armour of the Warrior!” and, after receiving many congratulations, dropped several hints leading many people to flock to the Captured Stronghold. (Many of these were Zrubavel’s friends, and it made him sad to have tricked them so, but it seems that one mortal had annoyed the gods by demanding to much information about this magical Armour, and so they decided to teach us all a lesson-Zrubavel was merely the tool of divine wrath).
Than the gods fought amongst themselves about the Armour, and for a while it was removed from our plane. Zrubavel told the world that the Armour that he found was taken away, and, in its place, he was given the weapon that in fact he had already got for his part in the gods plan. Also then Longir grew wrathful at the thankless mortals and punished many by making them invincible, giving them mega-powered items and bags that could carry any amount of weight (as the saying goes: a happy Longir zaps mortals, an angry Longir makes them invincible). And so before long the event was all but forgotten (especially after the Armour dropped again).
It was not until many many months later (and after its location had been changed several times), that Zrubavel finally got the great Armour he had been shown so long before.
And today all that serves as a reminder of this event is the weapon: Iron Zrubavel’s Dori+2 of Medium Electricity- at least until the great wipe when it to will be gone.
