To increase our Level of Awareness and our visibility to players
and search engines. Daimonin is listed on alot vote pages all over
the net. You will find 4 vote links on the frontpage and also some when
you login.

But the whole list comes, when you click on the VOTE FOR US link
on the frontpage (just in front of the 4 vote icons).

I can't add all that votings on the mainpage, we don't want spam people
with this but IF YOU LIKE Daimonin and if you WANT HELP US then go
to this page daily and vote there. It REALLY increase our player numbers
and hits. Its also some fun. We are one of the very few *real* mmorpg
there which is not a simple text browser game or mud.

Good job on the In game reminder MT.

I made that page (with all the links) my Bookmark to the forum, so that every time I come here, I start out with 15-20 clicks.  

I was just doing  my civic duty and noticed that Daimonin gained over 100 votes over the weekend on mmorpg100.com (one of the site linked from the forums), bumping it from a bare #10/#9 to a healthy #8. The system works!

There is one more thing we can do imo. Long time ago I organized "group voting" inside Slayers clan. I can only say that most of the members did go and voted for Daimonin. The reason I dont do it more often is that i dont want "to force" (and i can not) people to do something. I see CD posted here, she is the leader of one clan, also other leaders should maybe organise here and there same activity. Not too often (cause most ppl find voting very boring) maybe once a week or so, I think that can help a lot.

Has everyone noticed we are in the top 10 on many lists, in the top 5 on some, and number 1 (by quite a margin!) on a few?

Don't know if this is a result of MT's encouragements, Igo's 'group voting,' or just everyone pulling their finger's out, or what, but keep it up!

EDIT: Also, daimonin.net is the 9th hit when you google 'mmorpg.' That's gotta be good.

Well, for me when i search up MMORPG we are the 6th, and the very first actual *game*. That is good. Our pagehits every day are in the 10k range as well. So, we are becoming more popular obviously .

What can I say? We seem to have risen 3 places on google between my post and Uni's because I get 6th now too. So 4 more hours and we'll be #1!

I first started playing somewheres around October, and Googling MMORPG is exactly how I found my way here. Like Uni said, going down the list it's the only one worth wasting all my time on lol. So someone's doing something right. Keep up the good work MT and all programmers.

What affects how far you are down the list when searching MMORPG ?

AIUI, google uses a complex and proprietary algorithm to decide rankings. Unlike older-style search engines it has less to do with the web pages own description and content and more to do with which other page people have come from to continue there search and the quantity of links to the page from othe locations on the Net. Which is one reason why it's important to get Daimonin up on all the vote sitees.

There are pages which purport to give methods to improve your ranking on google. Try googling for them.

Hmm, maybe if/when Daimonin raises enough money, it could be a sponsored link. I heard somewhere that its just $7 a month, dunno if thats true tho...

well start seeing it as a cheap form of advertisement to a large
gaming community.
