the client is now updated again and a new metaserver is online.

We have finally fixed the metaserver issue, along with some minor bugs (ignorelist, ...).
Please run the autoupdater (daimonin_start.exe) to get the update.

After the update your client should state at the loading screen in the bottom-left corner thats now 0.9.7.1 - pl 105

where is the daimonin_start.exe located?

Its in your client folder of the installation (normally c:\Programm Files\daimonin\client)
If you have a normal install, your startmenu-link should point there. You can open up the startmenu, locate the daimonin link, and do right-click->properties. In the target box, you will see if it links to daimonin_start.exe or the daimonin.exe

EDIT: An Important note for Vista users. You have to run the updater (daimonin_start.exe) as Administrator!!!

To expand: if you are running Vista:

In Windows Explorer, find daimonin_start.exe (it's probably in C:\Program Files\daimonin\client), right-click on the file and click on "Run as administrator".

Once the update has happened, you will see a "P105" at the bottom left of the client's first screen. Next time you run Daimonin, you don't need to run as administrator - that is just needed for the update.

Edit: if you have default settings for Windows Explorer, it won't show the ".exe" bit - just daimonin_start.

Edit #2: if you don't know how to find Windows Explorer - click the Start button at the bottom left, type ex in the search box and you'll see a list of programs. Click on Windows Explorer!

Perhaps you should post this information in the actual news article on the main page, instead of posting a link to the forums here. I'd be my britches that a lot of people won't click on the link and just expect (as I did) that the metaserver would be up and running again ....

after the update i cant play the game. i pressed the icon (i am using windows xp) and doesnt work :S it doesnt appear nothing.

Which icon? If you mean the shortcut, whats the target of it? (Rightlick on it, and chose properties, poste here what is in target).
And what do you mean it appears nothing? No error message, really nothing?

it appears the "checking for updates" and then desapear, just like you were going to play, but the game doesnt start

heya alderan, i seem to have the same problem. i clicked my normal link after about ten mins, it downloaded the patch, then did nothing. it's done exactly the same thing since then, it doesn't even appear to look for a connection, just checks the file version then disappears. any ideas how i can fix it please?

main server is being rebooted or something, it is temporarily down.

that's a looong reboot man, it's not normally down for this long. ah well, guess i'll try again tomorrow.

how long does it takes to fix that problem?

I also had this problem. I was playing fine about 10 hours ago then when I tried logging in a few hours ago I expirenced the same thing.
